200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training for Healthcare Providers
Evolution’s Yoga Alliance Registered 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is designed to train healthcare providers in the art and science of yoga. Students will study all educational categories as set forth by the Yoga Alliance Spirit of the Standards in order to be able to facilitate private, small group, and community yoga sessions. This therapeutically oriented training is rooted in ancient and modern practices of yoga that integrates mind, body and spirit.
Evolution’s Yoga Teacher Training Faculty combines their professional training as healthcare providers with a depth of experience as yoga practitioners. Our instructors draw from a variety of disciplines including mental health, physical therapy, nursing, massage therapy, doula and childbirth education to provide a unique perspective on integrating yoga into a variety of healthcare settings.

Evolution’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is designed to certify healthcare providers in the art and science of teaching yoga, in order to be able to facilitate private, small group, and community yoga sessions. This therapeutically oriented training is rooted in ancient and modern practices of yoga that integrates mind, body, and spirit.
We invite interested physical and mental healthcare professionals and students in these fields to dive into this unique 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Learn from experienced yoga instructors, who are also Physical Therapists, Mental Healthcare Providers, Massage Therapists, Registered Nurse and Doulas. Trainees will study yoga philosophy and ethics, anatomy and physiology, yoga techniques, and teaching methodology through experiential and classroom-based learning. Participants will complete this training with the competence to integrate yoga practices into a diverse range of healthcare settings.

Participants in Evolution’s Yoga Teacher training will:
- Gain an understanding of ancient and modern yoga philosophy and styles of practice
- Develop strong knowledge in Functional and Experiential anatomy & physiology
- Hone effective communication skills applicable to teaching private, small group and community yoga classes
- Teach asana, pranayama, and meditation safely
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt and modify yoga practices for diverse populations
- Explore evidence-based research of therapeutic benefits of yoga
- Develop and deepen a personal yoga practice that supports teaching
Module 1: Living Yoga: Deepen your understanding of and commitment to your personal practice and explore how yoga affects your relationship to self, others, and the world.
Module 2: Building connections: Explore and construct connections inside and out through community building, creating and holding space, exploring physical anatomy, and discovering yourself as a teacher and practitioner.
Module 3: Deepen the Practice: Hone your skills and discover your voice as you delve deeper into consistent practice, practice teaching, and yoga philosophy & ethics.
Module 4: In the seat of the teacher: Step fully into the role of a teacher as you learn to customize and adapt yoga practices to meet the needs of diverse populations, problem solve, and fine tune your new skills.
Module 5: Integrating into your world: Weave your knowledge, experience, and practice into your work in the world and daily living through learning about the business of yoga and the concept of taking your yoga practice off the mat and into the world.

- Currently practicing in or studying for a healthcare profession
- Minimum 1 year consistent yoga practice
- Complete the online Anatomy for 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings course with Yoganatomy.com (cost is $55 plus the text)
- Commitment to the training in its entirety
Tuition for Evolution School of Yoga 200 Hour Yoga Teacher training is $3500. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee that will be applied to your tuition if you are accepted into the program. Half of tuition minus the application fee ($1650.00) is due at time of program acceptance, and the remaining tuition balance ($1750.00) is due two weeks prior to the start date of Module 1. Tuition may be paid online, in person at the studio, by mail or over the phone via check, cash or credit card. Please click here to pay your application fee.

A full refund, minus the application fee, can be granted up to one month prior to the program start date. A 50% refund of the tuition can be granted prior to the program start date. No refunds will be granted on or after the program start date.
