200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Evolution’s Yoga Alliance Registered 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is designed for health and wellness professionals or those interested in working in a health and wellness field. This therapeutically oriented training stands apart from standard yoga teacher trainings with specialty topics geared towards health and wellness professionals, and a faculty of experienced healthcare providers integrating yoga into their practices. Learn how to adapt yoga to the needs of your students, whether you are working in the community, a wellness facility, clinic, acute care setting, home health or skilled nursing facility.  Evolution’s Yoga Teacher Training is rooted in ancient and modern practices of yoga that integrates the mind, body and spirit. 

Faculty
Evolution’s Yoga Teacher Training Faculty combines their professional training as healthcare providers with a depth of experience as yoga practitioners. Our instructors draw from a broad range of disciplines including mental health, physical therapy, nursing, massage therapy, doula and childbirth education to provide a unique perspective on integrating yoga into a variety of healthcare settings.

Course Description


Evolution’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is designed to educate health and wellness professionals, or those studying, or interested in working in a health and wellness field.  Through this program students will learn the art and science of teaching yoga, in order to be able to facilitate private, small group, and community yoga sessions. This therapeutically oriented training is rooted in ancient and modern practices of yoga, that integrates mind, body, and spirit.

We invite students and professionals in the physical and mental health and wellness fields or anyone interested in a therapeutically oriented training to dive into this unique 200-hour Teacher Training. Learn from experienced yoga instructors, who are also Physical Therapists, Mental Healthcare Providers, Massage Therapists, Registered Nurses and Doulas. Trainees will study yoga philosophy and ethics, anatomy and physiology, yoga techniques, and teaching methodology through experiential and classroom-based learning. Small group and individual mentorship is a key component of the program design to help students deepen their personal practice and develop their own teaching style. Participants will complete this training with the competence to integrate yoga practices into a diverse range of settings.

Evolution School of Yoga’s 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is divided into eight week-end modules that run Friday afternoon through Sunday the first week-end of the month.

Please note: 10-15 minute breaks will be integrated into any session over 90 minutes.

Prerequisites

  • Currently practicing in or studying for a health or wellness profession or interested in a career in a health and wellness
  • Minimum 1 year consistent yoga practice
  • Complete the online Anatomy for 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings course with Yoganatomy.com (cost is $55 plus the text)
  • Commitment to the training in its entirety

Full Tuition – $3200 Register and make your first payment after June 1st 2018. Your $100 non-refundable application fee will be applied to your tuition if you are accepted into the program. Tuition must be paid in full one month prior to the program start date.  Please click here to pay your application fee.

Early Bird Rate – $2900 Register and make your first payment before June 1st 2018 (includes application fee).

Student Tuition – $2500 for students currently enrolled in an academic institution (includes application fee).

Payment Plans – Your tuition may be divided into four payments charged to your debit or credit card each month.  Please indicate on your application if you wish to set up a payment plan. Tuition must be paid in full one month prior to the program start date.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

A full refund, minus the application fee, can be granted up to two months prior to the program start date.  A 50% refund of the tuition can be granted up to one month prior to the program start date.  No refunds will be granted after one month prior to the program start date.
