200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Evolution’s Yoga Alliance Registered 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is designed for health and wellness professionals or those interested in working in a health and wellness field. This therapeutically oriented training stands apart from standard yoga teacher trainings with specialty topics geared towards health and wellness professionals, and a is led by a faculty of experienced healthcare providers integrating yoga into their practices. Learn how to adapt yoga to the needs of your students, and develop custom yoga programs for your clients. Whether you are working in the community, a wellness facility, clinic, hospital, workplace, home health or skilled nursing facility, this training will allow you to integrate yoga into your setting. Evolution’s Yoga Teacher Training is rooted in ancient and modern practices of yoga that incorporates the mind, body and spirit.

Evolution’s Yoga Teacher Training Faculty combines their professional training as healthcare providers with a depth of experience as yoga practitioners. Many of our faculty have been practicing yoga and teaching for 15-25 years. Our instructors draw from a broad range of disciplines including mental health, physical therapy, nursing, massage therapy, doula and childbirth education to provide a unique perspective on integrating yoga into a variety of health and wellness settings. Most of our adjunct faculty are involved in large portions of our training, providing a unique opportunity for students to work with, and be mentored by, a variety of practitioners over this eight month training.

Course Description


Evolution’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is designed to educate health and wellness professionals, or those studying, or interested in working in a health and wellness field.  Through this program students will learn the art and science of teaching yoga, in order to be able to facilitate private, small group, and community yoga sessions. This therapeutically oriented training is rooted in ancient and modern practices of yoga, that integrates mind, body, and spirit.

We invite students and professionals in the physical and mental health and wellness fields or anyone interested in a therapeutically oriented program to dive into this unique 200-hour Teacher Training. Learn from experienced yoga instructors, who are also Physical Therapists, Mental Healthcare Providers, Massage Therapists, Registered Nurses and Doulas. Trainees will study yoga philosophy and ethics, anatomy and physiology, yoga techniques, and teaching methodology through experiential and classroom-based learning. Small group and individual mentorship is a key component of the program design to help students deepen their personal practice and develop their own teaching style. Participants will complete this training with the competence to integrate yoga practices into a diverse range of settings.

Please note: 10-15 minute breaks will be integrated into any session over 90 minutes.

Prerequisites

  • Currently practicing in or studying for a health or wellness profession or interested in a career in health and wellness
  • Minimum 1 year consistent yoga practice

Registration and Tuition

Registration
To register for the program, you must first complete an application and pay a non-refundable $100 application fee.

Upon notification of acceptance into the program, payment of a non-refundable $400 registration deposit is required to secure your spot in the course. Registration is complete once you have paid the deposit, and this amount (as well as the $100 application fee) will be applied toward your tuition costs. Click here to pay your $400 registration deposit (once accepted into program).

Tuition

Full Tuition Rate – $3,200
Early Bird Rate – $2,900 (registration deposit must be paid by 6/1)

Student Rate – $2,500 for students currently enrolled in an academic institution

All tuition rates include the $100 application fee and $400 registration deposit. ​Tuition balances may be paid in full upfront, or divided into four monthly EFT payments via a debit or credit card. Tuition must be paid in full by September 1st 2018. See below for payment options.

In addition to the eight weekends of instruction and Evolution’s Yoga Teacher Training Course Manual, program tuition additionally covers:
  • Individual and group monthly mentorship with teaching faculty
  • Two 10-class passes for use during the program
  • 10% discount on Evolution Yoga workshops and series
  • Yoga mat storage
Please note that tuition does not include the Yoganatomy.com prerequisite course, or recommended books for the program.  There are no required textbooks, but faculty may recommend certain texts or readings to enhance your learning.
 
Payment
Once registration is complete (following notification of acceptance into program, and payment of both application fee and registration deposit), tuition payments can be made in full, or through a payment plan. Tuition must be paid in full by September 1st 2018.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

A full refund, minus the application fee and registration deposit, can be granted up to two months prior to the program start date.  A 50% refund of the tuition can be granted up to one month prior to the program start date.  No refunds will be granted after one month prior to the program start date.
