Customize Your Event
Evolution includes the following options for parties and events. Our event planner can help you choose the activity that your guests will enjoy.
- Red String: A red string will bind the group, symbolizing the circle of friendship and community support. The string will be divided and each woman will receive enough string to create a wrist or ankle bracelet, which can be worn for the remainder of the mother's pregnancy. The string represents the connection of these women to the mother! When they look at their bracelet of red string they think of her, sending positive energy her way.
- Belly Cast: Create a plaster cast of an expecting mom's beautiful pregnant form. A belly cast enables a mom to forever remember how she looked during her pregnancy and the special nine months she shared with her growing baby.
- Belly painting: A professional face/belly painter will create a beautiful image on the expecting Mom’s belly. Professional photographs will be taken as a keepsake.
- Henna: Traditionally in India, henna is applied to a woman's hands and feet. This celebratory ritual can be incorporated into any type of event, and for a baby shower the henna looks beautiful painted on the mother's belly.
- Music & Chanting: Voice is a powerful tool for channeling energy, as well as for connecting the supportive community of people present at the gathering. Your teacher will lead you in a simple, easy to follow chant in English or Sanskrit, depending on your preference.
- Candle Ceremony: Each person present will light a candle for the guest of honor. The guest of honor can take the candles home to light to remember and reflect on the gathering.
- Beads: Each member of the party brings a special bead for the woman of honor. This bracelet or necklace will be treasured for years to come.
- Flower Crown: Create a simple crown of flowers for the woman of honor to wear during the ceremony, honoring her connection to nature and mother earth.
- Alter Ceremony: Each participant brings to the event an object that she would like the woman/man of honor to have. Typically, these objects represent qualities the participant wishes for the woman/man of honor, or are somehow important to the person giving it away.
- Flag Ceremony: Participants receive a plain white fabric flag a week before the event and paint, draw, or write their wishes for the guest of honor. These flags are strung together and can be hung as a reminder of community support during such a powerful time.
- Massage: Enjoy a therapeutic massage with an experienced massage therapist to renew and refresh your body, mind, and spirit. Our Event Planner will match you with the appropriate massage therapist given your group size and needs.

- Catering: For a flat fee our Event Planner will assist in locating the best caterer for your event and take care of the details including delivery, set up and clean up. Some of the caterers we suggest include:

Meditation: Special events at evolution yoga are times to reflect, slow down and/or feel the connection between those participating. Meditation is a way to focus more on the present moment and to bring those in the room to a quieter place of reflection through breath awareness and relaxation. - Gifts for attendees: Reclaimed silver jewelry with yoga images, yoga mats, spa kit (eye pillow, herbal muscle soak, yoga music, organic soap), shirts, yoga clothes, organic custom blend teas and much more.
- Yoga & Chocolate: Stability and willpower; enjoyment and compassion. We all want a balance of these core energies in our lives. Learn poses to support your core strength as well as your sense of openness and compassion. Then experience the fresh, artisan Vermont-made chocolate flavored with the spice or flower that uniquely supports these core qualities. Reconnect with your power and loving kindness with yoga and an out-of-this-world chocolate experience!
