Restorative Yoga Classes: Fridays, May 9 and June 13, 6-7:30 pm
It's time to relax!
Restorative yoga is for anyone who wants to rest or give her/himself
time to slow down. The supported yoga poses in this class help
the body release muscles and relax the brain.
Pre-registration suggested, drop-ins welcome. This class is taught
by Lydia Hill.

Mother's Day Yoga with Jennifer Harris,
Sunday May 11, 12-2 pm. $30.
Join
us for an afternoon of yoga and relaxation. The class will be split
between active yoga and restorative poses, with poetry and music to inspire
a mother's heart. Mothers of all ages are welcome.

(please note, our regularly scheduled post-natal class will be cancelled
on this day in order to hold this special mother's retreat).

LOVE AT YOUR FINGERTIPS – INFANT
MASSAGE WITH SHARON PANITCH AND ALISSA FROMKIN
Sat. May 31, 1-2:30 pm
Infant
massage is a wonderful way to soothe and bond with your new baby! Come learn
with certified infant massage instructors Sharon Panitch and Alissa Fromkin
as they gently guide you in techniques that can help your baby’s digestion,
calm the nervous system (baby’s and yours), and ease fussiness. We
will spend some time learning how to relax our bodies and hands in preparation
for giving massage, and we will cover a sampling of techniques for various
areas of the body, as well as a few infant “exercises.” This
workshop is most appropriate for babies aged zero to not-yet-crawling. Up
to two parents/caregivers may attend with each baby.
What to bring:
Your baby’s diaper bag
One bath towel for baby
One hand towel for each adult
A baby blanket
You may want to clip your fingernails before the workshop, and leave
jewelry and watches at home.
What participants will receive:
Materials on the benefits of infant massage
An infant massage resource list
A handout outlining the techniques that we will cover
A small bottle of baby massage oil (hypoallergenic, non-nut-based)

Sharon Panitch received her massage therapy training from the Muscular
Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA, and has been a Nationally Certified
massage therapist since 2000. She has a private practice in Burlington,
where she specializes in massage therapy for relaxation, injury recovery,
and relief of chronic pain, as well as pre- and post-natal massage. She
also focuses on working with clients with cancer, and in 2005 founded a
massage therapy program at Fletcher Allen’s Department of Hematology/Oncology. She
has two massage-loving children, ages 3 and 10 months.

Yoga Nidra - Deep Yogic Sleep
Saturday, June 21st, 5-6:15 pm
Join Janet Carscadden on this journey through the levels of consciousness.
This 75 minute class will guide you through practices developed to take
your mind to the deepest levels of awareness. In the state of yoga nidra
one leaves the awake state of consciousness and travels to a state of deep
relaxation. Through guided relaxation exercises your mind is allowed to
relax and leave the alpha state of awareness to the delta state of subconscious
awareness. This class is appropriate for beginners to advanced yoga practitioners.
With practice you will develop the ability to quiet your mind, reduce stress
and improve your sleep patterns. Please wear loose comfortable clothes.
Bring your own props or use the studio blankets, bolsters and mats in order
to lie comfortably on the floor for an hour.
