In this 6-week series students will mirror what is naturally occurring outside our studio in nature. Yin is a cool, slow practice that involves great mental training. Poses are held on the floor for 3-6 minutes with muscles relaxed in order to slowly stretch the connective tissues. Through the outer stillness of each shape, students will be cued to explore the more subtle layers of the body/mind/spirit. Each class will bring students’ awareness towards different energy channels, or meridians, and their corresponding organs in an effort to cultivate a more harmonious inner landscape.
