Bonnie Glass LICSW, E-RYT 200

Evolution Yoga Teacher Training Program Coordinator

Bonnie began exploring yoga practices during college when she was a NCAA Division I Varsity athlete and was in need of balance and calm. After college graduation she moved to New York City to pursue a passionate social work career and continued her personal exploration with yoga and mindfulness. As she worked with diverse populations that experienced trauma, violence, illness, and loss, she quickly recognized the benefits of yoga for the clients and communities she served as well as for herself.

In 2012 Bonnie attended Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and received her 200-hour yoga teacher certification. She has completed noteworthy continuing education trainings in Yoga for Trauma and Yoga for Cancer in an effort to meet specific population needs. She believes in the power of yoga practices as part of a self-care routine for helping professionals and competitive athletes to address vicarious trauma and burn-out. As a social worker and figure skating coach, Bonnie integrates yoga practices into social work practice and athletic training.

After 15 years of living in NYC Bonnie immersed into yoga life at The Yoga Farm in remote Punta Banco, Costa Rica and then relocated to Burlington, Vermont. She offers yoga to individuals and communities whenever and wherever they need it. She practices yoga every day and everywhere. Bonnie’s style of Kripalu yoga incorporates movement, breathwork and meditation for all levels and encourages compassionate self-awareness and personal growth for a creative and sustainable life.  Bonnie teaches our Friday 4:30 community class, is the Program Coordinator and faculty  for our 200 – hour Yoga Teacher Training and teaches yoga workshops and series focused on yoga for trauma, depression and anxiety.
