Yoga for a Healthy Back
This six-week program is designed for people with low back pain who wish to return to yoga practice or explore yoga as a method of managing their back pain. Students will learn basic lumbar spine anatomy, yoga principles and modification of poses that work best for their diagnosis. We will develop a yoga routine that includes breathing exercises, stretches, core strengthening, flowing poses and relaxation exercises. Yoga for a Healthy Back series is taught by Janet Carscadden PT, a licensed physical therapists and certified yoga instructor.

Beginner Yoga Series with John McConnell
In this series, we work together to learn about practicing yoga in a fun, supportive environment. We work on good alignment principles, learn some breathing and meditation techniques, and begin to explore new postures from the ground up. This series is a great way to commit to practicing and learning. It also always feels good to be in a room with other people around who are practicing at your same level and feel the support and encouragement of other students.

Total Beginner Yoga I & II with Rachel de Simone
Total Beginner Yoga
is designed for those who have never taken a yoga class before. In this 6 week series, Rachel will introduce you to the basics of a hatha yoga practice, with modifications made as needed to accommodate tight bodies. By the end of the series, you will be able to take your new yoga knowledge and begin a home practice, or venture out into the greater yoga community. Rachel creates a safe environment for beginners to feel welcome; all that is required is that you show up ready to try something new, and smile.
This series is appropriate for someone with little to no physical or athletic background.
Total Beginner Yoga II is designed for beginning yoga students who wish to continue to deepen their yoga practice. This 6-week series will build on the foundation created in Total Beginners I to help students develop confidence in their yoga practice.

Living Yoga Kripalu Series with Martha Whitney
Martha offers a mindful and inspiring environment in which people find comfort in their body. Her rich language and individualized guidance help students deepen their practice and self-awareness. Students learn alignment as they cultivate peacefulness and kindness toward themselves. These classes are a great way to start the morning.

Living Yoga Restorative with Martha Whitney
Join Martha for a rejuvenating practice of restorative yoga. This relaxing class allows you to draw into a deeper place inside yourself as you are guided into supported restful yoga poses. Come relax, restore and recharge. Please pre-register; this popular class will fill up.

Going Deeper Workshops
Expand your knowledge of yoga and connect to the local yoga community in these light-hearted, supportive, and inclusive workshops. The Going Deeper workshops have a strong focus on low pressure. Learn how to make your practice, and with that your life, deeper and more fulfilling. The Going Deeper Continuing Education Workshop Series with John McConnell is for students and yoga teachers who want to deepen their understanding of the yoga practice.
Workshops meet each month in the Fall and Winter on Saturdays 2:00-5:00 pm. Fall dates will be posted in August
Belly After Baby Workshop
Belly after Baby Workshop with Andrea Trombley, PT – Return to optimal strength and get to know your body again. In this physical therapy workshop, you’ll learn simple exercises you can use every day and as a part of your yoga practice. We’ll focus on anatomy of the pelvic floor and core muscles, core and postural engagement, and strategies to prevent common postpartum issues such as incontinence, back, pelvic and hip pain.
Participants must be at least six weeks postpartum. Please leave baby at home – this workshop is just for you! Cost – $40 for a 2-hour workshop.
