200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
Evolution’s Yoga Alliance Registered 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is rooted in functional anatomy, physiology and the science of yoga. This therapeutically oriented training stands apart from standard yoga teacher trainings with specialty topics geared towards working in health and wellness careers. We limit our class size to 22 participants in order for our faculty to spend more time with our students. We offer a strong mentorship program with time for students to meet individually with their mentors, attend monthly group video sessions with our faculty from the comfort of your home, and utilize small-group peer mentorship. You do not need to be a healthcare provider to attend our program, but you should have a strong interest in deepening your understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to yoga. Our training is led by a faculty of experienced healthcare providers integrating yoga into their practices. Learn how to adapt yoga to the needs of your students, and develop custom yoga programs for your clients. Whether you are working in a yoga studio, private practice, a wellness facility, clinic, hospital, workplace, home health or skilled nursing facility, this training will allow you to integrate yoga into your setting.
Train with a Faculty of Health and Wellness Professionals
Evolution’s Yoga Teacher Training Faculty combines their professional training as healthcare providers with a depth of experience as yoga practitioners. Many of our faculty have been practicing yoga and teaching for 15-25 years. Our instructors draw from a broad range of disciplines including mental health, physical therapy, nursing, massage therapy, respiratory therapy, doula, and childbirth education to provide a unique perspective on integrating yoga into a variety of health and wellness settings.
Here’s what our graduates have said about our program:
The Yoga Teacher Training course at Evolution PT and Yoga was an excellent learning experience both professionally and emotionally. It was a very in depth course well balanced with anatomy and physiology, evidence based research, yoga philosophy and physical practice as well as the business aspect of teaching yoga in your community. There was a strong emphasis on how to build a safe and effective sequence/class for many different populations utilizing props, clear verbal assists and hands on assists. As a Physical Therapist I have been able to apply this training with great effect and benefits for my patients. I cannot recommend this course enough on so many levels. -PT
This YTT has helped me grow in ways that I did not expect–personally and spiritually. I am continually working towards opening, challenging myself, and leaning into the squeamish areas of vulnerability. Evolution provided a solid and well-rounded teacher training from a large group of experienced professionals. Nearly three months after the program, I am still in awe of the process and the capacity for compassion in this journey. -SF
This was another awesome weekend. Every single class and presentation was excellent. Each teacher had such great quality information to share and presented it beautifully. Thanks so much for providing such an excellent Yoga TT. – SM
This program was life changing. I’m so grateful for everything I learned and the connections I made with others and myself. – KD
This training has changed my path in a beautiful way. Thank-you for the fullness of this experience and so much attention to detail. I am so grateful. – JO
