Annie started practicing yoga as a teen and soon developed an on-and-off practice. Her personal practice gradually grew steadier and steadier until she found herself in between jobs and decided to take the plunge and apply for a month-long intensive 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Jane Lanza in Shelburne, VT. The community and support she has experienced since making this decision has given her the courage and desire to want to share the power of this practice with as many people as possible, planting seeds for this community to continue to grow endlessly.
With the ultimate goal of bringing all eight limbs of yoga onto the mat, Annie incorporates awareness with movement in order to deepen the mind-body connection and relationship. She has gained a lot of stability and contentment from exploring the spiritual and philosophical side of yoga, so she enjoys weaving these teachings into her classes. As a Hatha Vinyasa trained teacher, you can expect a healthy balance of meditative movement and fire-building core work out of Annie’s classes. Annie’s other passions include CBD Yoga, Reiki, and exploring other forms of Alternative Medicine. Looking towards the future to deepen her practice and those of her students, she is set to start Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy training in February 2019.
