Living Yoga Off the Mat: Yamas & Niyamas
In this workshop we will explore the ethical guidelines of yoga that are designed to enhance harmony and balance, both within you and the world. The Yamas and Niyamas are yogic disciplines that challenge and inspire the yoga student to deepen their practice of yoga beyond the physical asana practice. We will superficially get acquainted with the 5 Yamas and 5 Niyamas, then delve more deeply into two of these tenants- Ahimasa (non-harming) and Satya (Truthfulness). You will leave inspired to further study and practice yoga off the mat and in your daily life.
