Physical Therapy

Evolution Physical Therapy is now offering telehealth and in-person visits. If deemed appropriate to be seen in-person in the clinic, your physical therapist will discuss options with you on a case by case basis. We have found that most of our care can be successfully provided via telehealth. The advantage for you is you don’t have to travel, we can see you and adjust your home program to your home environment. Many people come from a long distance to see us in the clinic. Now you can see us from the comfort of your own home from anywhere in the state or around the country. Access the skill of some of the most experienced therapists in the state.

Areas of Specialization: We specialize in the treatment of back pain, pelvic pain, neck pain, muscle imbalances incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, and joint injuries of all body parts. We are yoga instructors and can integrate yoga into your physical therapy treatment sessions. Our licensed physical therapists Janet Carscadden, Michelle Downing, Meagen Satinsky, and Patsy Tyler are committed to providing evidence-based evaluation and treatment techniques.

Treatment sessions are individualized for each client based on diagnosis and recovery goals. All treatment is provided by licensed physical therapists. Our PT’s are also certified yoga instructors and yoga therapists that can build custom yoga programs to meet your recovery goals.

Scheduling: we will be answering phones in the office at 802-864-9642 Monday – Friday or email if you would like to book an appointment. Learn more information about our services by emailing

Covid-19 Precautions for in-person care: We are seeing clients for in-person therapy when hands-on care is needed to assess and treat your issue.  Masks are required for all patients. Our therapists wear masks and wear a face shield for close contact treatment. Social distancing is maintained when close contact treatment is not being performed. All patients are screened for COVID-19 symptoms.  We have moved our treatment areas into our yoga studios for more space and the ability to open windows. Your therapist will provide our in-person treatment protocol if an in-clinic treatment session is scheduled. Please email with questions.

What to expect with a telehealth visit: With video conferencing, we are able to see you in real-time, take a thorough history, assess range of motion, strength, movement disorders, gait, and evaluation of functional performance. Treatment may include instruction in pain management strategies, activity modification,  posture correction, instruction in a home exercise program including yoga, stretching, strengthening, breathing exercises, balance, and functional exercise. If you are working from home, we assess and provide feedback on your home office set-up. Please reach contact if you have questions about whether your condition can be treated via a telehealth visit.

Insurance Coverage for Telehealth: We can now see new and returning clients via telehealth for Blue Cross Blue Shield, MVP, Cigna, Medicaid, and Medicare. We are out of network with United Healthcare.  If you have United Healthcare and have out of network coverage you can be seen for telehealth. We also take cash payments for visits.

Here’s what our patients are saying about telehealth visits:

I began telehealth PT a month ago in the midst of Covid-19 office visit limitations. I had considerable shoulder pain and restricted range of motion that severely impacted my activity. Within one month, my level of pain has dramatically decreased and my activity level is almost back to normal. I think telehealth is an excellent means of doing physical therapy.  I was so incredibly surprised how well this platform of health care delivery worked for me!

Thank you, Evolution Physical Therapy & Yoga! – NS
