More Yoga Therapeutics in 2015!

When the idea of Evolution PT and Yoga was being hatched back in 2005, providing therapeutic yoga was a fundamental idea key to the development of the studio. Although we have continuously offered therapeutic yoga classes and workshops, as we grew, our schedule filled with drop-in flow-style vinyasa yoga classes. We love these classes and pride ourselves in making yoga accessible not only through our beginner series, but mixed level classes. What you may not know, is that during the day, Evolution is a busy hub where our physical therapists are providing one on one therapeutic yoga sessions to help our clients learn to improve their health and function. In the past nine years, we’ve grown from a one-therapist practice to four physical therapists who are also certified yoga instructors.

In 2015 we are excited to return to our roots and offer an expansion of our therapeutic yoga classes. We are now offering four drop-in yoga alignment classes, and three drop-in therapeutic yoga classes per week. We are thrilled to add Yoga Therapeutics for the Upper Back and Shoulders on Tuesdays at 12:15 with Alison Aiken PT and Yoga Therapeutics for the Back on Thursdays at 12:15 with Andrea Trombley PT. Meg Satinsky PT continues to offer the ever popular Yoga Therapeutics for the Hips class on Tuesdays at 5:45.

Therapeutic yoga means that each of these classes will have an anatomical focus. Students of any level will learn how to bring themselves back into balance with a class that highlights the interconnection of the body, the breath and the focus of the mind.

Our six-week series offer an in-depth view of yoga therapeutics. Yoga for a Healthy Back Series on Wednesdays at 5:45 and Yoga Nidra workshops each semester. We have several new workshops on the schedule for 2015. In addition to our popular Roll and Release workshop, we are offering the following Therapeutic Yoga workshops: Release the Psoas, Release the Upper Back and Shoulders and Managing Back and Hip Pain during Pregnancy. This spring and summer you will see even more exciting therapeutic offerings at the studio. Join us on this journey of growth, expansion and discover the healing properties of yoga.
